Introduction

Hydraulic lock is an important safety device in the hydraulic system, mainly used in vertical movement of the load to achieve a reliable position lock to ensure equipment and personal safety. The working principle of the hydraulic lock is based on the hydraulic check valve, through the control port access to the hydraulic oil to push the control piston, so as to realise the opening and closing of the check valve, to control the unidirectional flow of oil or reverse flow.

Hydraulic locks are widely used, for example, in equipment such as truck crane outriggers, boarding trucks, horizontal directional drilling, fire trucks and sanitation trucks, etc. They are mainly used for static locking loads to achieve switching action. However, hydraulic locks are not suitable for dynamic speed control of negative loads with large load variations.
